Abstract
Introduction. The introduction reveals the relevance of analyzing macroeconomic indicators that demonstrate the trends of macro and regional development and affect the level and quality of life of the Russian population. The aim and objectives of the author's research are formulated. Methods. To achieve the goal, we used the methods of economic and statistical analysis, including the index method and the method of correlation and regression analysis. The Cobb-Douglas function was used to assess the efficiency of labor and capital utilization. Analysis. Results. On the basis of the conducted research the key directions of increasing the efficiency of state regulation of the economy have been identified, which should contribute to equalizing the level of socio-economic development in the regions, increasing production in manufacturing industries, curbing inflation.
